Hampton Green Farm (HGF) was established in 1997 as a dressage boarding, training and sales facility in Fruitport, Michigan, investing initially in young horses from Germany. In time, HGF turned its focus entirely to the development of an elite line of PRE Horses for dressage competition utilizing primarily the bloodlines of the Yeguada Marin Garcia and Albero II. Since that time, HGF expanded to include a winter farm in Wellington, Florida, where both the sires and offspring of the breeding program are campaigned with success in the most competitive dressage circuit in the United States. Known for producing a modern-moving dressage horse of medium size with exceptional temperament and extravagant gaits, HGF has placed horses with amateurs, young riders, and professionals.

HGF selects for breeding only those stallions who have proven themselves in dressage competition as well as in the morphology circuits. Since 2009 HGF sires and offspring have taken first or have been in the ribbons in over 50 CDI classes in the US and Europe, have been named to four national dressage teams, 3 HGF horses have placed first or second in four Open National Dressage Championships in both the United States and Spain, including National Grand Prix Champion of Spain in 2011 and 2014. Most notable HGF sire is Grandioso III, who competed for the Spanish Olympic Dressage Team in London as well as in Normandy for the World Equestrian Games in 2014, and in two European Championships. Grandioso III has been the top-ranked Iberian in the FEI World Championships consistently since 2013.

All HGF young horses are kept in herds and live outside in large pastures for the majority of the year, exposed to all the conditions of the outdoor life. They are handled and started by our experienced staff, who do not introduce stress or isolation into the young horses’ experiences. As a result, HGF horses are confident, social and sensible. HGF Team70 is a program that recognizes the owners and riders of HGF-bred horses that score over 70% in rated dressage competitions, and currently the team has members from the United States, Australia, Argentina, Spain and Germany.
